The Bushfire CRC's Fire Note 119 explores the findings from the community safety research undertaken in New South Wales following large bushfires near Yass, Shoalhaven and Coonabarabran in January 2013.

At the request of the New South Wales Rural Fire Service, the Bushfire CRC coordinated a field research task force to interview a sample of respondents in each of the three communities affected by the fires, complemented by an online survey. The research focused on people’s preparation, decision making and actions during the fire. Read about the findings in the Fire Note.
