HPFB Expo & Family Day
On Sunday 18 May 2014, the team from Hampton Park Fire Brigade held an Expo and Family Day to celebrate it's 70th Anniversary.
The event was held at River Redgum Place in Lynbrook and was attended by over 600 community members.
Members from surrounding brigades attended with the appliances and held demonstrations throughout the day. Appliances attending were Hallam Hazmat, Dandenong Rescue and Support, Dandenong Ladder Platform (MFB), Frankston BA Van, Patterson River Salvage and the Scoresby Hose Layer.
And of course, the HP Pumper, Tanker and FCV were on display.
We also had the fantastic team from Narre Warren Catering who catered for all of our hardworking members and CFA staff and volunteers on the day. They ensured that everyone was well looked after on the day.
There were lots of fun activities for the kids including a colouring in competition, jumping castle and the CFA smokehouse. The kids also enjoyed the popcorn and fairy floss.
Demonstrations throughout the day included the Ladder Platform showing water over the oval, the team from Hallam Hazmat demonstrating what they do on scene at a Hazmat incident and a fantastic demonstration from the Dandenong Rescue crew who recreated a road rescue incident.
