IGA supports CFA-SES State Forum
This year, the CFA-SES Community Safety and Hazard Awareness State Forum will be held for the first time at Mantra Lorne.
Securing an event location like this, wouldn’t have been made possible without IGA’s generous donation through the IGA Community Chest program.
Now in its sixth year, the State Forum is Victoria’s premier community safety conference for emergency services personnel-bringing together hundreds of like-minded people from across Victoria to network, share ideas and learn new ways to engage with their communities to improve safety during times of emergency.
As part of acknowledging this generous donation, Store Manager, Ryan Calvert from the IGA Anglesea store will have the pleasure of making a speech at the forum. Ryan is not only part of the IGA family, but also fourth Lieutenant at Anglesea CFA making him the perfect candidate to provide participants with information on the IGA Community Chest program and his involvement with CFA.
A cheque for the 2014/15 Community Chest donation will also be presented to CFA’s Chief Officer, Steve Warrington at the conference for the amount of $44,463.
Since 2000, IGA has donated more than $3.3 million to CFA with over 255 brigades benefiting directly from the program.
CFA and SES thank IGA for this generous donation.
