Invitation Ash Wed 30th Anniversary
On behalf of CEO Mick Bourke and Chief Officer Euan Ferguson, the following invitation is extended to all CFA members.
The summer fire season is a busy time for all CFA members, it’s a time when mother nature traditionally puts us to the test; but we should also take time to remember past actions.
In 2013, we acknowledge and remember our fallen firefighters who have given so much in service to their communities and to CFA, particularly those who died 30 years ago during the devastating Ash Wednesday fires.
To commemorate our fallen heroes, all members are welcome to join our CFA Patron, the Governor of Victoria His Excellency The Honourable Alex Chernov AC QC at a special CFA Remembrance Service to be held on:
Sunday, 17 February 2013
commencing at 5pm
St John’s Anglican Church
1 St Georges Road, Upper Beaconsfield
(Cnr Beaconsfield / Emerald Road and St Georges Road)

this will be confirmed by the Chief Officer the Wednesday prior.

The annual Firefighter Memorial Service will still be held in May, so if you cannot make this service, members may wish to pay their respects then.
As an organisation, we are eternally grateful for the service, the professionalism and the sacrifice these firefighters have made for us all. Please join us in celebrating their lives and their memories on this significant anniversary date.
