It’s going to be a big weekend for CFA Open Days…
Over 40 brigades will be opening their doors this weekend to give the community a glimpse of the work being done by CFA members all year round.
The day is a chance for Victorians to learn more about what brigades do for the local community in a relaxed and fun environment.
Brigades will have a range of information available and many will conduct activities on the day, including fire training demonstrations, kids’ activities and sausage sizzles.
Warneet – Blind Bight fire brigade will be eagerly opening their doors at 8am on Saturday ready to share fire safety information with the local community with the CFA community education trailer. There will also be activities for the kids and lots of sausages sizzling on the BBQ.
Or if you are in the Otways area, the Kawarren Fire Station will be pumping with multiple brigades and agencies joining forces to make it a day for the whole family with CFA and SES demonstrations, fun activities for the children, displays, Devonshire tea and BBQ lunch.
If you're visiting the Lancefield Show, look out for Captain Koala, Lancefield and Benloch brigades who will have a stand with lots of information for the parents and badge making for the kids.
