Joint statement on inappropriate material
Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria (VFBV) and the CFA Board condemn the production and distribution of an anonymous, divisive flyer currently being circulated on social media.
The source of the flyer is unknown but it is clearly intended to do nothing but divide members of CFA’s highly skilled fully integrated workforce of volunteers and paid employees.
We acknowledge matters relating to the Operational Staff Enterprise Agreement are currently before the courts, and obviously the subject of some discussion, but communication of this kind is offensive to the position of both VFBV and the CFA Board. It has no place in the ranks of CFA.
Both the VFBV and CFA Board are united in calling on all members of CFA to show respect for one another, regardless of role, particularly as we approach the summer season and its associated challenges.
CEO, Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria
