Today CFA launched the 2018 Junior Brigade Operating Review. Over the next five weeks, Junior brigades across the state will have the opportunity to tell us more about the programs they run.

A recent statewide Junior Leaders Forum highlighted the need for more information and resource sharing, as well as the diverse nature of our Junior brigades.

As a result, the Volunteer Sustainability Team has launched an Operating Review which will gather measurable data about CFA’s Junior brigades, let us build a more accurate picture of how our Junior brigades operate, and identify opportunities to improve resources and support mechanisms available to Junior brigades. It will also help identify trends in youth volunteerism and the development needs of our Junior leaders.

The review is also designed to identify and collate resources, documents and templates that our Junior brigades are using. This can form a shared resource for all Junior brigades.

Every Junior brigade will be asked to take part and nominate one person to fill in the review on behalf of their brigade. An email with more information has been sent to all Junior leaders.

If you’re a Junior leader and didn’t get an email today, please contact the JVDP team at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. If you're not already a member of the CFA Junior Leaders Facebook Group, get online and join us:
