Tomorrow marks the end of a four month course for 25 new career firefighter recruits following an intensive 16 weeks of training.

For the first time, the formal graduation ceremony will be live-streamed - tune in from 10.35am at new.livestream.com/cfavic/

The graduation will include a formal ceremonial parade followed by live firefighting demonstrations, giving recruits the chance to show family and friends the skills they have developed throughout the course.

Attending dignitaries will include the Member for Western Victoria Simon Ramsey MLC, Shadow Minister for Police and Emergency Services Wade Noonan MP, CFA Chair Claire Higgins, CFA Chief Officer Euan Ferguson, Assistant Chief Executive Officer Michael Wootten.

11 of the 25 recruits come from a volunteer background, either as junior or senior CAF members. They join CFA from a range of professional backgrounds, including trades, defence and health.

CFA is recruiting now for career firefighter recruits to begin in 2015. Visit cfa.vic.gov.au/career for more information.
