Machinery destroyed at Rosebud tip
A fire is estimated to have caused more than $800,000 damage after a front-end loader was destroyed at the Rosebud tip last night, 17 December.
CFA was called to the incident just after 8.00pm where the machinery was fully involved in fire.
Rosebud Senior Station Officer Neil Schlipalius said the blaze took about 20 minutes to bring under control and thankfully, the fire remained isolated to the front-end loader.
He said suspicious circumstances had been ruled out and it is believed the fire was caused by a build-up of mulch within the air intake of the front-end loader which has over a number of hours heated up and caught fire.
Five trucks from Rosebud, Rye and Boneo attended the scene.
