Mick Bourke has stepped down as chief executive officer of the Country Fire Authority.

CFA Chair Claire Higgins paid tribute to Mr Bourke and his achievements over the last six years.

“Mick has led the organisation for the last six years through a period of enormous change and challenges including the post- Black Saturday response, the Victorian Bushfire Royal Commission and the government’s emergency management reforms,” she said.
