Meet the Team from HPFB #1
MEET THE TEAM FROM HAMPTON PARK FIRE BRIGADE!
Introducing Firefighter Anthony
Joined CFA in 2013
Why did you join CFA?
As a kid walking home from school I would walk past the Fire Station and try to always have a peek inside the station to look at the trucks. I joined the CFA because I’ve always admired Fire Fighters and the way they do things, the way they conduct themselves in confronting situations really inspires me. Volunteering in the CFA is definitely rewarding as it will allow me to help people in unfortunate circumstances and be involved in the community.
Most memorable moment or learning experience in CFA?
My most memorable moment was going to a MVA (Motor Vehicle Accident) call out with a person trapped in a vehicle. It was one of the most confronting calls I’ve been to but the experience gained from it has really opened my eyes to the dangers of driving.
What do you like most about being part of the HPFB Team?
What I like most about being at Hampton Park is the people who are there. Everyone’s always there to lend a helping hand and always there to answer any questions you have. Also the experience the senior members have is good because they pass it on down to you and are always there to teach you what needs to be taught.
What do you like to do when you are not busy with HPFB?
Some of my hobbies include going to the gym, working on my car and going out with mates. I barrack for Essendon.
