Hi all

Again thanks to all those who have made comments and suggestions about the way ahead.

In our last note we reported that we had commenced the program of district visits to discuss local requirements for IDs, any systems that have already been developed for issuing IDs, local experience with access through traffic management points, local views on the vehicle sticker system, and any ideas for the future.

While on these visits we are looking to meet with volunteers, group and brigade office holders and regional and district staff to make sure we are hearing the various perspectives of different groups across CFA.

We have now visited Districts 4, 5, 6, 8, 12, 13, 14, 16 and 23 to discuss these issues.   More visits are being planned during May and June so we can be in touch with all districts during the project.

To provide information on possible solutions for the Member ID Project, a request was advertised on 20 April 2011 for suppliers of ID systems to register an Expression of Interest (EOI) in working on the project.  This EOI closes on 11 May 2011 and then the project focus will be moving towards developing processes to provide all CFA members with a practical form of personal photo ID that is consistent across the State.

Please keep asking your questions and adding ideas to the blog so we can capture and consider issues early in the project.

Keep safe and well

Michael Bourne
