Mine firefight still on track

CFA Deputy Chief Officer and Hazelwood mine Incident Controller John Haynes says things are still on track to have the fire controlled early next week - minimising the amount of smoke and ash impacting nearby communities.

Speaking on Gippsland Community radio this morning he said the strategy of using water and foam has been proving very effective.
