We are seeking brigades interested in participating in Mornington Fire Brigade's 100-year anniversary torchlight parade from Mornington Park to Pier on the evening of Australia Day 26 January 2017.

As part of the celebration and annexed to the Australia Day Parade, the brigade will be conducting a torchlight procession.

The procession will leave the Fire Brigade Competition Track located in Mornington Park, on to the Esplanade toward Main Street then proceed via Snapper Point Drive concluding at Mornington Pier.

There is the opportunity for a number of Brigades to be involved.

Brigades will be required to be formed up to march off at 2050 hours.

An invitation is extended to all Brigades, however spots are limited and so expressions of interest will be on a strict first in basis and prioritised as per the following:

  1.         Mornington Brigade
  2.         Mt Eliza, Moorooduc, Mt Martha
  3.         Westernport Group
  4.         Peninsula Group
  5.         Other Brigades.

To maximise the number of Brigades that can participate in the Torchlight, a maximum of seven personnel per Brigade may be involved (6 Torch Bearers, 1 Brigade Name Carrier).

For those brigades that are unable to participate but are willing to loan torches for participating brigades to use in this parade, can you please advise via below.

Please send all responses to:
