On the eve of Halloween the Mt Eliza Fire Brigade transformed their station into a spooky wonderland.
The station was decorated using carved pumpkins, brightly coloured streamers and posters.
There were mainly treats (not tricks) on offer with the fireys offering a decadent selection of lollies and chocolates to the local kids.
Mt Eliza’s 4th Lieutenant Mark Turnham said the fireys showed great initiative to get involved and have a bit of fun with the local community.
“It’s really good to interact with the community and build a great relationship. The kids loved coming to the fire station on Halloween!” said Mr Turnham.
“Most of the public do not realise we are all volunteers, so building a relationship with the locals is really important to us. I think we have started a great tradition!”
