Nar Nar Goon Fire Brigade members say thank you
On Monday 19 September, Nar Nar Goon Fire Brigade members attended the funeral of the captain's wife.

Although it was a sad day for everyone, the volunteers were still mindful of keeping the community safe. So the evening before the funeral, Captain Geoff Bramley called Operations Officer Paul Carrigg at Dandenong Fire Station to see whether the staff would be available to step up to Nar Nar Goon for the day.
It didn't take long to organise a crew willing to accommodate the request. Leading Firefighter Matthew Ivan and Firefighter Chris Pyne put up their hands to assist Nar Nar Goon.
In light of what has transpired over the past six months with paid staff and volunteer firefighters over the EBA, it was evident that CFA members – both volunteer and paid staff – were still from the same family. Regardless of what their beliefs are and what side they bat for, we are all here for the same reason.
Monday was a testament to the real meaning of CFA. It proved that we can all still count on each other to the end.
