North East Region Learning and Development team along with District 24 Management were proud to support some of our members to gain a nationally recognised qualification, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

On Tuesday 10 May, 14 members graduated from Wodonga Institute of Tafe, some gaining a new accreditation while others added units to their existing qualifications.

Operations Manager Paul King spoke of his delight, “This talented group of members along with our other trainers and assessors deliver quality training across District 24 to members from not only their own brigade but equally importantly other brigades and groups. They are among our best and brightest members and I congratulate them on their graduation having worked hard to achieve this qualification. We are all rightly proud of their significant achievement and it was great to see this effort recognised during National Volunteer Week”

We recognise and acknowledge the time and effort these members have put in to the training, involving many nights and weekends of study over the past ten months. Congratulations to Alex Todd, Neville Frichot, Howard Smith, Andrew Chalmers, Neil Hillas, Tony Treffers, Aaron Wallace, Gary Wattie, Matthew Martin, Brad Nichols, Lauren Padbury, Maureen Pierra and  Jennie McKern. We look forward to utilising your newfound skills to assist the training of other volunteers in the Region.
