New Crime Stoppers Signs
Crime Stoppers Victoria has recently updated the large “Arson is a Serious Crime” signs.
Each CFA District Fire Investigation Coordinator has been provided a number of these signs to be used by Fire Investigators at suspicious fire scenes.
The aim of these signs is to raise public awareness that the fire has been deemed suspicious and information from witnesses relating to the fire is required and can be provided through Crime Stoppers.
The information will then be provided to Victoria Police to assist them with their investigations into the fire.
Any information relating to the crime of arson can be made by calling Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000.
Further information relating to fire scene preservation can be located within the Fire and Emergency Management Pocket Checklists under “Fire Investigation” and via the CFA Intranet / Brigades Online website at Fire & Emergencies > Fire Investigation > Report Arson
