New role on your Brigade Snapshot

You may have noticed some members listed in your Brigade Snapshot have recently had the role of “Incident Management & Response” added to their record.

This is not an error and is not linked to any training, competency, qualification or endorsement! 

It simply means the member has been identified to “possibly” provide support or perform an incident management role this fire season.  They may for example be filling an Admin Support or Radio Operator role which has no formal competency or qualification or may be assisting or in the process of becoming qualified in a particular role.

This work is consistent with the personnel roles being defined by the Brigade Classification Project and is linked to the Incident Management Capability work currently being undertaken via the Command and Control Project (previously under the IMT Training Project).  This data will be managed by your Regional office with information provided by the District Operations Managers.
