New tourism business bushfire kit
Tourism Victoria, in partnership with CFA's Community Resilience team, has produced a new toolkit to help tourism businesses prepare for bushfires.
The Tourism Business Fire Ready Kit takes business owners through a seven step process to develop a plan to suit their business.
The kit helps businesses understand their risks, prepare their business and employees, plan how to inform their customers, identify their triggers to act and prepare a plan.
Businesses can use the template at the back of the Tourism Business Fire Ready Kit as the basis for their plan or use the information to add fire safety procedures to their emergency management plan.
The Tourism Business Fire Ready Kit can be downloaded as a PDF or Word document at cfa.vic.gov.au/tourism
To support the delivery of the kit, Tourism Victoria is now working with CFA to deliver a range of engagement activities with tourism businesses in high risk areas.
