Online one-stop-shop for members
A new one-stop-shop intranet site for CFA members is a step closer with the website design phase now well underway.
The new members’ portal, which is expected to be launched before the middle of the year, will be accessible on smart phones and tablets, and will allow members to better manage their personal details including availability, training and PPC all through one site.
It will be a self-service portal for our members rather than just an information site, and it will give them the tools they need to better manage their roles at CFA. The portal will also provide a single-entry point for members and give them easier access to services, while being more ‘user friendly’ and easy to navigate.
Over the past few months, the project team has been working with members from both volunteer and integrated brigades to ensure the portal will best meet the needs of members. CFA is pleased that members have driven the design and concepts behind this portal.
All members, including volunteer and career firefighters and all other employees, will have access to the portal. It will give members easier access to information, and importantly, it will simplify access to self-service work systems such as personal and administrative information.
