Hawthorn and Collingwood football clubs would like to officially recognise and thank Victorian emergency services workers at the MCG on Friday 5 July, 2019.
CFA, along with MFB, Victoria Police, Ambulance Vic, SES, Surf Life Saving Victoria, ESTA and DELWP have been invited to take part in the pre-match ceremony.
The pre-match ceremony will include an emergency services motorcade around the ground to recognise each agency, and an emergency services Guard of Honour for each team.
Participants will also receive a ticket for themselves and a guest to enjoy the blockbuster match.
If you are interested in volunteering your time to represent CFA and be a part of the on-ground, pre-match ceremony please register your interest and outline why you should be a part of this event by COB Friday 21 June 2019.
Successful participants will be notified by Thursday 27 June 2019. Please note: there are a limited amount of tickets available for each agency.
Other activities on the evening include:
- Emergency services family event in Yarra Park from 4pm.
- Hawthorn and Collingwood Football match from 7.50pm.
- Emergency Services Foundation (ESF) will be fundraising around the ground before and after the game.
