Over $126K raised for CFA and SES

The Aussie spirit was definitely at all Bunnings stores on Saturday 23 January at the annual Aussie Day Weekend Fundraiser BBQ.

The Aussie Day Weekend Fundraiser BBQ was held at every Bunnings Warehouse nationwide to celebrate Australia Day and to thank all emergency service volunteers for the work they do in their local communities.

It was the most successful fundraiser for Bunnings, raising over $497,000 nationally for volunteer emergency services. In Victoria, over $126,000 was raised for CFA and SES of which approximately $64,000 will be given to CFA brigades nominated by the local stores to receive the funds. In addition, $13,000 was raised by CFA brigades through shaking tins at the stores.

CFA would like to extend a big thank you to Bunnings warehouse for holding the Aussie Day Weekend Fundraiser and local communities for their support.

Thanks also to CFA members from participating brigades who gave their time to make this event a success, by sharing community safety information, helping with the barbecue and getting into the Aussie Day spirit!

This was an opportunity to not only do some fundraising, but connect with our communities and share local community safety information.
