Point Cook family fun day
Point Cook Fire Brigade and the local community will be holding a "Family Fun Day" tomorrow (Good Friday) to celebrate their fundraising efforts for the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
The Family Fun Day will be held in Friar Park next to Pt Cook Fire Station on Dunnings Road (junction of Palmers Rd) for kids big and small.
Free activities will include face painting, a jumping castle, mini makeover and manicures. If all that activity leaves you feeling peckish food vendors who are donating a percentage of their sales to the appeal will be on hand.
The brigade and local community groups are looking to beat last year's total of $21,000 most of which is collected door to door by firefighters and community volunteers.
Buses will shuttle volunteers to strategic locations around Pt Cook, Seabrook, Sanctuary lakes, and Werribee South to maximise the amount collected.
Get your school, group or club together and pre-register for the day (catering will be provided for community volunteers).
