Firefighters from Point Cook, Hoppers Crossing and the MFB were paged to a house fire at approximately 12.40pm yesterday afternoon.
On route, initial crews could see smoke developing from the vicinity of the paged address and already started preparing for a long afternoon.
Once on scene and and informed that all occupants out of the house, fire fighters began an external attack in breathing apparatus (BA) to protect neighbouring properties and prevent the spread of fire. Unfortunately as the fire had already consumed the majority of the house and with the risk of collapse fire operations where restricted to external of the structure.
Additional support from Corio BA Support, Police and Ambulance was provided.
