Police & Emergency Services Games – last chance to register
Melbourne is hosting the 2014 Australasian Police & Emergency Services Games on from Friday 18 - Thursday 24 April.
Registrations have now been extended until Friday 21 March so there is limited time to submit last minute entries. It is encouraging to hear that over a hundred CFA competitors have already registered. Details on registration as well as the many sports available can be found on the official games website: www.apandesgames.com.au
The Opening Ceremony will take place on Good Friday 18 April at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre and include a static display of emergency services vehicles on show from 10.00am-4.00pm.
Competitors will form up by state at 2.00pm with the parade taking place from 3.00-4.00pm. Following the parade will be the Opening/Welcome Function held at the conclusion of the Opening Ceremony for competitors only. This is a free function from 4.00-6.00pm with food supplied and drinks available for purchase.
CFA aim to have a SEM/Bell Medium Tanker on display along with a fire hose reel used through the parade and over the Jim Stynes bridge.
The Games provide a wonderful opportunity to continue the tradition of friendly competition and promote inter-agency camaraderie.
