Portland chlorine gas leak
CFA responded to a gas leak at a recreational centre in Portland overnight.
Crews arrived at an aquatic centre on Bentinck Street shortly after 9pm Wednesday where a chlorine gas leak had been detected.
CFA members cleared the immediate area and a Watch and Act message was issued urging nearby residents to stay indoors.
Firefighters from Portland and Heywood used protective equipment to isolate and shut off the leak.
Two employees showing the effects of gas poisoning were taken to hospital as a precaution.
A downgraded Advice message was later issued advising there was no threat to the community.
