Pride March 2015 wrap up
More than 60 CFA members marched in yesterday’s 2015 Pride March along the streets of Melbourne.
CFA Chief Officer Euan Ferguson marched alongside Emergency Management Commissioner Craig Lapsley, MFB Chief Fire Officer Peter Rau, CFA’s Pride March Ambassador Russell Wright, and CFA Assistant Chief Officers Trevor Owen, Bob Barry and Mike Wassing.
Mr Ferguson said he was very pleased with CFA’s turn out at the event.
“This is about CFA recognising that we need to encourage diversity within the organisation – and we’re really proud to be here.”
The annual March is designed to support and recognise Victoria's Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transexual Intersex (LGBTI) community.
Event Organiser Russell Wright said it was a fantastic result and it was great to see so many CFA members marching in uniform.
