Prototype heavy tanker goes on tour

CFA’s prototype heavy tanker is undertaking a statewide road show, starting at the Champs in Bendigo this weekend, so that firefighters have the opportunity to give feedback.

General specifications

  •      Overall height: 3,150mm, length: 8,100mm, width: 2,700mm over mirrors
  •      15T GVM
  •      17.5 metres turning circle (kerb-to-kerb)
  •      Iveco Eurocargo ML150E28W 4x4 Crew Cab, 205kW/950Nm, 6-speed Tiptronic ZF6AS1000 automated manual transmission (no clutch pedal)
  •      Bucket seating for five – two in the front and three in the rear
  •      Internal roll cage
  •      Isuzu 4LE2/GAAM Mk300D two-stage pump/water cooled diesel engine rated at 1,200 lpm @ 700kpa.
  •      Electric priming pump
  •      4,000-litre polyethylene rota moulded water tank including nominal 750 litres for crew/vehicle spray protection system
