The sudden loss of Lt Peter Harry during the house fire in the early hours of December 30, 2012 will leave a huge gap in our hearts; the loss to his immediate family is even larger and will require our support for some time.

I would like to thank you all for the help, guidance and kind words during this very tough time. As a member of the Gisborne Fire Brigade and Group officer of the Mt Macedon Group and I am extremely proud of the greater CFA family.
The members of the Brigade rallied together on the fire ground to support each other, Captain Sam took control and ensured the welfare of all members was looked after. Sam’s leadership made a great deal of difference, the Brigade is in good hands well done Sam.

To the crews of our neighbouring Brigades Sunbury and Riddell’s Creek thank you for your efforts and work with the Ambulance crews in the very confronting circumstances, your team work was magnificent.

The staff of District 2 has been a pillar of support and in spite of the distance your attendance was of great help in getting the Brigade over the early hurdles, Chris, Mark and Pat well done.
The attendance of Chief Officer Euan Ferguson and CEO Mick Bourke on Sunday morning at the Gisborne Fire Station was a great help to many and again showed the CFA family at its best.

We will update you all over the coming days, once again to all of you a big thank you for your support no matter how small.
