Seaford grass and scrub fire
CFA crews attended a grass and scrub fire in Seaford just before 2:00pm on Tuesday 22 Jan.

The grass fire is around 6 – 8 hectares and is not threatening any homes at this stage (at 4pm).
The new Peninsula Link and Frankston – Dandenong Road was closed for some time during the incident but they have now reopened. Latest information on road closures is available from the VicRoads website - http://alerts.vicroads.vic.gov.au/
At one stage, 16 fire trucks and an aerial bomber are on scene.
The fire created a lot of smoke in the area, which was visible from nearby communities and roads.
