An impressive 345 years of combined voluntary service have been recognised by CFA at a BBQ lunch in Boisdale Rec Reserve.

Boisdale Fire Brigade members were recognised with CFA five-year certificates and medals marking between 10 and 50 years service.

Brigade member Tim Crooke said, “We don’t join CFA to receive medals, we join to help the community, but it's nice to know our time is appreciated. Today's medal presentation is a great excuse for everyone to catch up over a relaxing lunch.”

District 10 CFA Operations Manager Allan Rankin was on hand to present the medals. “it's important to recognise the years of service these volunteers provide and it's also important to remember the families and employers behind the scene that allow our members the time to help our community.”
