Skye Fire Brigade gets jump start
Skye Fire Brigade has been given a jump start, thanks to a kind donation of a Philips Heart Start Defibrillator that will soon be put on the pumper for use in medical emergencies.
Funds for the defibrillator were raised by the Frankston RSL, who held raffles with the support of the patrons on Friday nights.
Brigade Captain Justin Rowan said, "It will be a very handy piece of equipment - we hope we never have to use it however if the need arises we can be confident we have it on board."
Skye Fire Brigade is a fully volunteer brigade, and support from the community is vital for its operation.
The members of Skye Fire Brigade would like to take this opportunity to thank the RSL committee, staff and patrons of the Frankston RSL for their ongoing support.
