Smythesdale FCV Handover 15th December 2015

On the 15th December, 2015, Geoff Howard MLA of Buninyong and Brett Boatman, District 15 Operations Manager joined Smythesdale Fire Brigade members at the Smythesdale Fire Station. 

Snowy Parker, Captain of Smythesdale Fire Brigade officially kicked the formalities off and welcomed all. Included in his speech Snowy recognized the DMO’s of the Ballarat Workshop who restored the old quick fill pump and trailer for Smythesdale FB then he presented a certificate of appreciation for Terry Dyer. Terry recently resigned from the brigade as he has moved away from the area.

Snowy finished up with presenting the newly operational Smythesdale Rehab unit. This unit will be a District and State-wide resource to be used for Fire-fighters when at an incident.

Snowy then introduced District 15 Operations Manager Brett Boatman to speak. Brett introduced Geoff Howard and they both spoke about the VESEP program and how it gives the brigades an opportunity to replace brigade owned appliance. Geoff officially handover the FCV keys to Snowy, which was purchased through VESEP 2015 program.
