Snow day for Wattle Glen Juniors
Wattle Glen juniors had a fun-filled day at Lake Mountain, learning some new skills and overcoming some fears as well.
*** Story by Stephen Gaunt, Wattle Glen Captain
Four juniors and two big helpers travelled to Lake Mountain ski resort on10 July for a fun-filled day with so much snow we didn't know what to do.
It was a blanket of white from the entrance gate all the way to the top.
The day started off with a lesson in the morning to learn the basic then back to the village for some lunch then off to try out our new skills and tackle some up and down hills.
All very successful with everyone making it to the top and back down again.
The day was wrapped up with some tobogganing fun, construction of a Snowman and the obligatory snowball fight.
The crew were certainly worn out and would've slept well that night including the two big kids.
