A statewide Total Fire Ban (TFB) has been called for Tuesday, 28th January. CFA State Duty Officer, Stephen Walls, said the high temperatures and strong winds are going to cause conditions that may make fire difficult, or even impossible, to control.

"The TFB is in place to minimize the chance of fire starting," he said.

"The fire services are doing their part to be prepared for tomorrow and we need the community to help by taking care not to do anything that may cause fires.

"People also need to be aware of what is happening in their local area and stay informed."

A TFB means no fire can be lit in the open air or be allowed to remain alight in the open air between 00:01 hours and 23:59 hours on Tuesday, 28th January.
