Summer TV ads launch
Two Summer Fire Campaign television advertisements which will air this summer were shown at today’s Fire Action Week launch.
Video footage of the launch available below.
The advertisements are just one part of the Summer Fire Campaign, which centres around CFA volunteers working with their local communities to spread planning and preparation messages.
The advertisements stress the importance of leaving early to avoid being caught out by a fire, and based on CFA research, challenge people who plan to wait and see and just hope for the best.
One advertisement prompts all Victorians in high risk areas to plan to leave early by visiting CFA’s website.
The second targets people travelling in regional Victoria, and stresses the importance of checking warnings before travelling.
The television advertisements will run from the start of December 2012 to the end of January 2013. Print, radio and digital advertising will also run during Fire Action Week and across the summer months.
More information on the 2012-13 Summer Fire campaign is available on the Fire Services Commissioner website.
You can also view all four advertisements on CFA's YouTube channel, CFA TV.
