TFB in Mallee, Wimmera and South West
A Total Fire Ban (TFB) has been declared for the Mallee, Wimmera and South West tomorrow (Thursday, 18 January 2018).
Tomorrow's conditions in the Mallee, Wimmera and South West will be severe with temperatures reaching the high 30s.
Tomorrow the Fire Danger Rating is Severe for the Mallee and Wimmera and Very High for the South West.
State Duty Officer James Dullard said that members of the community should be aware of the fire conditions and exercise their fire plans on a day of total fire ban.
“We are asking people to heed the total fire ban conditions and understand that it is illegal to light a fire or allow a fire to remain lit in the open air during a total fire ban.”
TFBs mean no fire can be lit in the open air or allowed to remain alight from 12.01am to 11.59pm on the day of the Total Fire Ban.
