A Total Fire Ban has been declared in North Central fire weather district tomorrow, Tuesday, 8 March.
CFA Chief Officer Joe Buffone said as well as increased fire danger, Victorians should be aware of the effect heat could have on your health and to take precautions to ensure people stay safe.
“Heat kills. Everyone needs to plan so they keep cool, stay hydrated and if it is possible, check in on others, particularly vulnerable people,” he said.
Total Fire Bans mean no fire can be lit in the open air or be allowed to remain alight in the open air between 12.01am on the day of the TFB until 11.59pm.
Tomorrow the Fire Danger Rating in North Central fire weather district will be Severe. It will be Very High across the rest of the state except East, West and South Gippsland.
