Three years spent reading CFA news in one year
In the past year CFA members and the community spent 2.8 years reading articles and looking at photos on the CFA News & Media site.
Website stats reveal 395,000 unique users of the site visited the site 857,000 times for an average of 1 minute 42 seconds each time.
Cathie Ford, who manages the news site and CFA's social media channels said the site's content is now one of the most important ways that CFA communicates with members and the community.
"The content that CFA members post to the News & Media site is what drives our engagement with the community on social media," she said.
"Without the great stories that CFA members across the state share on the site we would struggle to engage so many people on our social media channels."
With more than 400,000 followers on social media, CFA engages directly with more than 250,000 people each week online with community safety messages, warnings, incident information and even the odd story about a cat stuck up a tree.
All CFA members can register with the CFA News & Media site and post articles about what's happening in their areas.
