Total Fire Ban declared for the Mallee

A Total Fire Ban (TFB) has been declared for the Mallee tomorrow (Sunday 4 December).

CFA Chief Officer Steve Warrington said people need to be aware of the increased fire danger, and also the effect heat can have on their health.

"As we start getting warmer weather, everyone needs to plan how they will keep cool and hydrated. We also need to look out for friends, family and neighbours who may be more vulnerable to the heat."

TFBs mean no fire can be lit in the open air or allowed to remain alight from 12.01am to 11.59pm on the day of the Total Fire Ban.
