Traralgon shop fire

On Tuesday 29 January 2013 CFA crews from Traralgon and Morwell were paged at 5.19pm to a reported structure fire at the Aldi Supermarket in Post Office Place, Traralgon.

On arrival crews found the actual location of the fire was Timeless Framing, which is next door to Aldi. Crews were confronted with smoke issuing from the roof of the premises.

At the time the shop was unoccupied and forced entry was used to gain access to the property. The fire was confined to the rear of the building and Traralgon ladder platform was put into action to gain access to the rooftop. It took around 30 firefighters to bring the fire under control.

The fire caused extensive smoke damage to the building and adjoining premises and the cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
