Five trucks were destroyed by a suspicious early morning fire in Braeside on Boundary Road on 9 November .
CFA crews were called just after 1am and arrived to find the trucks fully alight. MFB supported CFA crews to extinguish the blaze.
Two people working in the factory on site evacuated safely.
CFA firefighter and photographer Keith Pakenham praised crew members for their work in containing the fire to the trucks.
“The warehouse was only about 10 metres away so it could have been a lot worse,” Keith said.
Incident Controller Senior Station Officer Bernie Frawley from Springvale Fire Brigade called for four pumpers to help contain the spread of the fire.
“The southbound lane of Boundary Road had to be closed for some time while until the incident was under control.
“Crews did an amazing job protecting the factory and other vehicles from going up in flames as well.”
Two trucks from Springvale, one from Patterson River and another from Noble Park attended.
Police and fire investigators continue to investigate the cause.
