Update your details before the fire season

As Chief Officer, I am keen to be able to email members directly regarding important issues, significant events and safety ahead of the fire season and throughout the year.

Over the next eight weeks, we will be trialling direct emails to Group Officers, Captains, and Secretaries (no more than one email a week). Feedback from this group, as well as others across CFA, will help develop rules for an opt in/ opt out email system.

In the lead up to the fire season, I ask that you spend a few minutes to check that the information on Brigades Online contains the best contact details for you and your crews. You can do this by:

  • Visiting Brigades Online 
  • Phoning FIRS on 1800 62 88 44 to provide a verbal update with your preferred contact details

It is important that critical messages are able to reach our brigade leaders and members quickly and effectively. We will continue to communicate through a variety of other means as and when appropriate. This includes regular pre-season briefings via our Fire and Emergency Management teams locally.
