Wear Orange Wednesday for SES
On Wednesday 14 November, all Australians are encouraged to wear orange in a united show of thanks for the tremendous work done and commitment shown by our SES volunteers.
In the 2011-12 financial year, SES volunteers across Australia spent more than 376,000 hours in orange overalls responding, rescuing and protecting our communities.
In Victoria alone, SES volunteers worked more than 146,000 hours and responded to more than 28,000 emergency calls.
So get your family, workplace or school involved and upload a picture of yourself in your best orange outfit for your chance to win fantastic prizes.
The competition is open to all Victorians and runs from 9am on Wednesday 14 November through to 5pm on Friday 16 November.
Prizes will be offered for:
Best dressed individual
Exclusive sporting tickets - AAMI Classic (tennis), Melbourne Victory and Melbourne Heart (football/soccer); a signed AAMI Classic polo tshirt by Murray, Nalbandian, Tsonga, Melzer and Nishikori
Best dressed workplace
A corporate suite to an exclusive AAMI Park event for 18 people
Best dressed school
An excursion to train with the Melbourne Tigers basketball team
The entry form will be available here from Wednesday 14 November.
