On Saturday and Sunday 1-2 March 2014, two members of CFA's Orgainsational Wellbeing Angela Seach and Michelle Taylor will be participaing in a 60km walk over the two days.

The Weekend to End Women's Cancers benefiting the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is a Weekend to remember those lives we have lost to breast or gynaecologic cancer and a Weekend to celebrate the lives we are saving. Proceeds from The Weekend will provide vital funding to research and clinical care at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Australia’s only public hospital solely dedicated to cancer, and home to Australia’s largest cancer research group. Peter Mac immediately assigns your funds to enable life-saving cancer research. This means a contribution today will have an immediate impact in the fight against cancer. The funds we raise will help Peter Mac’s clinicians and researchers to improve cancer detection, and to find gentler and more personalised treatments for women with cancer.

Today a gold coin donation morning tea was held at HQ Burwood and $239.00 was raised to go to Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.  Angela and Michelle to date have raised $4,000.00 between them  as well as a contribution from Jade Bibby of $275.00 and Michele Konheiser of $550.00.

Angela and Michelle wish to thank everyone who has donanted and to all those who contributed with the morning tea today.
