Woori Yallock ICC Weather Station Network

Methven Real Estate in Mount Evelyn are the first to get involved with a new weather station project for the Woori Yallock Incident Control Centre.

The Woori Yallock ICC footprint in District 13 covers an interesting area of valleys, mountains and grassland and as a result localised weather is extremely important to us. This is the reason we are looking to establish a network of localised weather stations that will provide better intelligence in to the ICC which will allow for better information to be provided back out to the fire ground and community. Currently we utilise the BOM weather station in Coldstream as well as two local weather stations one in Woori Yallock and the other in Wesburn. We are looking to increase the network of CFA owned weather stations with an additional 9 weather stations across the ICC footprint. The Vantage Vue weather station allows for weather information to be recorded and shared via the internet and updates every 90 seconds. The weather information is not just available to the CFA but also the general public via http://www.weatherlink.com/map.php

The total cost of this project is estimated to be around $9500 and with the generous donation from Methven Real Estate Mount Evelyn, we are heading in the right direction. We are now seeking further donations to complete this project so if you or someone you know would like to get involved please email This email address is being protected from spambots.
