Yellingbo New Vehicle Handover
On Sunday the 2nd of December 2012 Yellingbo Rural Fire Brigade welcomed Mr Brad Battin MP, State Member for Gembrook, CFA's Chief Officer Euan Ferguson, Woori Yallock Bendigo Bank and the local community for the official handover presentation of the Brigades new Nissan Ultra-Light and Isuzu Light Tanker vehicles at their recently built new station.
Mr Brad Battin presented the keys to Yellingbo Captain Paul Spinks for the Nissan Ultra-Light Tanker which was funded by the Victorian State Government.
The purchase of the new Isuzu Light Tanker was made possible with funding through the Volunteer Emergency Services Equipment Program VESEP and with the generous donation of $25,000 by Woori Yallock Bendigo Bank. The Light Tanker will now replace the Brigade's Toyota Landcruiser Slipon.
Captain Paul Spinks commented that both these new vehicles are ideal for operations throughout Yellingbo on the undulating farm lands in the area and will help protect the Yellingbo Nature Conservation Reserve which houses the endangered Helmeted Honeyeater and Leadbeater's Possum. They complement the Brigades main tanker and their newly developed and Brigade funded Support Vehicle which performs Rehabilitation duties for firefighters on the fireground.
CFA’s Chief Officer Euan Ferguson greatly acknowledged the efforts of the Brigade.
Yellingbo Rural Fire Brigade would like to thank Mr Brad Battin, Woori Yallock Bendigo Bank and the Yellingbo Community for their generous donations that helped make these two new vehicles possible.
