Cobram Hotel fire

CFA firefighters worked hard to save the Cobram Hotel after it caught fire this morning (11 Feb).

Firefighters were called to the fire on Station Street at 7.30am.

The main office on the ground floor and lounge room directly above on the first floor were completed destroyed by fire.

The remaining rooms of the main structure received heat and smoke damage.

The fire was brought under control just before 9am.

There was one person inside the building at the time the fire broke out but he escaped with no injuries.

The cause of the fire will be investigated later today however the cause is not suspicious.

Sixteen CFA trucks were on scene.
