Brigades were paged to the fire at 5.45am this morning (14 February) and arrived to find a 100m by 100m factory partially involved.

More crews including teams with breathing apparatus were paged immediately to support the fire fight. Firefighters from Carrum Downs, Cranbourne, Dandenong, Frankston, Hallam and Langwarrin attended.

The fire was deemed under control at 7.25am. Six trucks remain on scene.

A community warning was issued for the area just after 6am and was soon upgraded to a watch and act for residents in Cranbourne West. An advice warning still remains in place for Cranbourne South, Cranbourne West, Sandhurst, and Skye.

Representatives from EPA, VicPol, Ambulance Victoria, and local council building surveyors were also at the incident.

The community is advised that smoke will be visible in the area for some time and to keep the roads clear so emergency services can respond.

Fire investigators are currently on scene to determine the cause of the fire.
